Ofrésia Eau de Toilette

Ofrésia, created by the renowned perfumer Olivia Giacobetti, is one of Diptyque’s most minimalist and poetic compositions. Because freesia is a “mute” flower—meaning its scent cannot be naturally extracted—Giacobetti reconstructed the aroma to capture the flower in its most dew-laden, morning state.

The fragrance is famous for its striking contrast. It opens with a vivid, “nose-tickling” Black Pepper that immediately cuts through any potential floral sweetness. This spiciness slowly softens into a heart of White Freesia and Carnation, which feels green, airy, and slightly clove-like. The base of Guaiac Wood provides a subtle, smoky timber finish that grounds the scent without making it heavy. It is a “transparent” fragrance—perfect for spring mornings, professional settings, or those who prefer a scent that smells like a real garden rather than a perfume.
