Created by perfumer Muatasim Al Hinai, Khanjar is perhaps the most “traditional” yet technically complex fragrance in the Omanluxury lineup. It is designed to smell like the interior of an Omani palace or a heritage workshop.
The fragrance opens with a sharp, luxurious burst of Saffron, Davana, and Bergamot, giving it a leathery-fruitiness right from the start. The heart is a dense bouquet of Rose, Iris, and Geranium, which prevents the fragrance from becoming too dry. The base is where the “weight” of the fragrance lies: a potent mix of Oud (Agarwood), Leather, Musk, and Ambergris. This creates a smoky, salty, and slightly animalic finish that is incredibly long-lasting. It is a bold, “statement” fragrance for those who want to project authority and tradition.
