Created by perfumer Dominique Ropion (a legend in the industry known for Portrait of a Lady), Oud Aquilaria is a masterclass in balance. It avoids the “barnyard” or medicinal funk often associated with oud, focusing instead on the wood’s elegant, smoky, and balsamic facets.
The fragrance opens with a refreshing and unexpected burst of Apple and Pink Pepper, providing a crisp, modern introduction. As it evolves, a bouquet of Rose and Jasmine adds a velvety texture to the heart. The dry down is where the namesake Oud (Aquilaria) reveals itself, supported by Patchouli, Amber, and Guaiac Wood.
