Decadence Eau de Parfum

Decadence stands out because it doesn’t follow the “sweet and fruity” trend of its time. It is a sophisticated and somewhat polarizing fragrance.

The opening is a unique mix of Italian Plum and Saffron, giving it a rich, jammy, but spicy start. The heart is dominated by Orris (Iris root) and Bulgarian Rose, which provides a powdery, “expensive lipstick” vibe. What makes it “Decadence,” however, is the dry down: a heavy base of Liquid Amber and Papyrus Wood. It smells “damp,” mossy, and deep—evoking the feeling of a dark forest or a velvet-lined room. It is a heavy-hitter with excellent longevity and a very distinctive, “perfumey” sillage that isn’t for the faint of heart.
