Gaultier Divine Le Parfum (released in 2024) is the bold, nocturnal sister to the original Divine. While the original was bright and airy, Le Parfum is more opulent and “solar.” The bottle is the iconic pointed-corset torso, but it is finished in a rich, intense metallic gold that is deeper and more reflective than the original Eau de Parfum.
The scent opens with a burst of Solar notes and a “vibrant” lily, quickly moving into a heart of creamy, tropical Frangipani. The signature Gaultier “marine” saltiness is still present but feels more syrupy and dense. The dry down is much warmer and more sophisticated than the original, utilizing an “overdose” of Benzoin and Amber to create a long-lasting, balsamic trail. It smells like sun-warmed skin, expensive blossoms, and a touch of salted caramel.
