Sauvage Parfum (released in 2019) represents a more mature and refined evolution of the Sauvage saga. While the Eau de Toilette is famous for its “screaming” freshness, the Parfum is more of a “whisper” that lasts all day. It is designed for those who enjoy the Sauvage profile but want something smoother, rounder, and less aggressive.
The fragrance opens with a unique, juicy Mandarin note that feels more citrusy and “orange” than the bergamot-heavy versions. The heart is dominated by Sri Lankan Sandalwood, which provides a creamy, milky woodiness that balances the aromatic lavender. The dry down is exceptionally rich, utilizing Tonka Bean and Olibanum (Frankincense) to create a smoky, resinous finish that stays close to the skin but lasts for many hours.
