Created by François Demachy, Sakura was inspired by his travels to Japan during the spring. He wanted to recreate the “subtle yet persistent” scent of the cherry blossoms that fill the air.

The fragrance opens with a very light Green Note, which immediately gives way to the heart of Japanese Cherry Blossom (reconstructed) and Rose. To mimic the fuzzy, delicate texture of the petals, Demachy added Mimosa, which provides a slightly honeyed, powdery feel. The base is a very clean White Musk and a hint of Hedgehog Cactus, which adds a unique, watery freshness. It is a “skin scent” that doesn’t demand attention but creates an aura of extreme cleanliness and serenity. It is often described as smelling like “luxury cherry blossom soap.”
